It's been snowing and sleeting all day today. The sky is dark and angry.
Inside, however, it's a different story...
The postman just delivered a package filled with happiness.
Never underestimate the power of retail therapy. It absolutely works, when practiced in moderation.
My mom needed a pick-me-up. A new bag, is my best prescription. Filling it with a bunch of bright accessories, makes it twice as effective.
Anything, to see her smile.
I'm fully cognizant of the transitory nature of this type of therapy. It's going to take a lot more than that to keep the smile on her face. But, at least it's a start.

I hope your surprise brought a smile to your mom's face. I hope she's doing okay - as well as can be expected, I guess is what I mean.
I too hope mommy finds a smile for all the pretty new things you are surprising her with. I am watching my own mother, albeit much, much older, go through the same thing right now. They had been together 65 years....

Any breath of spring makes me feel joyful now as the weather is still so chilly. I think a little retail therapy goes a long way.
Sometimes when I'm upset my sister will give me little presents. I think it's a nice way to show "I care, and I want to brighten up your day." Your spread looks so cheerful too! (I love that spatula!:)
I go for the same bright look of Ck :) She is my favorite designer! I also try to buy things to try to bring some happiness into our lives. I'm sure these pretties will make her smile!

Do you have any idea how jealous I am right now...the good jealous! But jealous! How darling! You would make a perfect comercial because I might need to buy some of that! I have never been one to turn down retail therepy when needed...I might need a little therepy to get me through the week :) ADORABLE!
