in the garden

Someone's been busy getting her window box into shape...

While pausing to admire each and every flower.

Keeping an eye out for little fairies.

Convinced they're to be found in the mossy patches.

Leaving a little offering of love.

And then, learning to swing all by herself.
Legs pumping, smiling ear to ear.

She is adorable, reminding me of photos of my own mother at that age from the 1920s (with the side part and lovely bow in the same hairstyle), plus I so favor a pretty dress and sandals over some of the other clothes I'm seeing "out there" on little girls.

Little Miss Rosie is the most adorable child in her little madras plaid dress, searching for fairies. :-) My little niece used to build fairy houses. But she's growing up and turning into a young lady now. Do you think we could just pause time for a while?

Such a sweet little girl! Your pictures are a delight. Love the heart, and the little house with window boxes and the pretty check dress.
I also loved your last post, Molly, and you have given me the idea of framing some of the lovely old cards I have found in granny's attic! Your rose motto looks beautiful framed in that way.
Have a wonderful week.
