hello march

'March is the month of expectation.'
~Emily Dickinson

Picked up a basket of apple blossom shaded begonias at the store for a song. It's amazing the difference fresh flowers make in the house. Combined with a few open windows, due to unseasonably warm temperatures, and you can almost believe it's Spring.

One late winter's day while I was still in college, I was slogging along the sidewalk and passed the florist's shop. Spring seemed a long way off, and I decided to go inside. With what little money I had, I purchased a tiny little pot of primroses. Upon returning to my apartment, there was a delivery man in the lobby holding a beautiful arrangement of flowers. Teasing him, I told him those were for me. He replied, 'Only if your name is Molly...' Would you believe my sister Katie sent me those flowers out of the blue?

Any plans for Spring break? I'd love to hear about it.

I picked up a bouquet of yellow tulips last weekend. I was in desperate need for something that resembled spring. Your begonias are simply gorgeous. Love the pale colors. We're celebrating spring break early (next weekend). We're taking the girls to Frankenmuth. Aside from Bronners, we are staying at a hotel water park decorated with fairies and toadstools. Can't wait!

I'm just ready for March...we have gotten close to 30 inches of fresh snow since your wonderland post...my comment of Spring backfired on me....

I love the Spring as well and just asked my DH if it was too early to decorate for Spring/Easter...and he why not...we could use the light colors of Spring. I love the begonias...we have those exact ones growing on the side of the house next to a little pathway...the colors are so soft and pretty. Spring break sends us to AZ for Spring training and our sons will be joining us this year! It's been a long time since we had a family trip!!

Springy flowers are my favourites! I have some hyacynths and daffodils in the house at the moment - and they make me smile every time I look at them.
Happy March!

These apple blossom begonias are the prettiest color! I can't believe how warm it is.... and so windy too. I think spring is officially here, even if the calendar doesn't say so.

Thank you for showing those lovely flowers, I really need to go and purchase some and put them in a pretty pot to adore until they can be planted outside. Flowers are God's special gift to all of us, don't you think?
