mouse in the house

 It was early, before sunrise.
Bob was in the basement, grabbing a few things from the storage room.
A little scratching in the corner, caught his ear...

The cooler temperatures, combined with our location next to 'Open Lands' resulted in a little furry fellow trying to take up residence. A trap laid, and successfully sprung.
The inevitable sad conclusion.

All I can say, is thank heavens my Bob was home.
But, I fear the little guy wasn't flying a solo mission. He must've had friends...

And

where

 are

they???

What adorable photos...loved you story but especially loved the little mouse family. We live in an old home and sometimes get little visitors this time of year too.

Eeekkk! Oh, do I understand. We've had a few mice sneak in lately, just little babies...not scared of us at all. I put on my Uggs, for safety, and got one outside with the broom, then I looked up and there was another crawling down the curtain!! We figured out how they were getting in...thankfully :)

Your plush mice are too sweet. We had a special "live" visitor last week in our furnace room. I'm afraid to think we might have "extra" house guests. Maybe it's a good thing we have two cats in the house.

This has happened to us...my Mr. Reagan presented them to me two mornings in a row while my men where away at scout camp. Sad but true. Thank heaven for my cat hero. We have been mouse free for several years now. Smiles...Renee

Oh nO! That is the worst...we used to get a visitor everyfall but the last few years have been good :) Yes! Thank heavens he was home!

Hope you are getting good use out of those new undies ;) Too funny! Then your story reminded me of when my neice threw a sequined g string for men (a joke gift a gave my sister when she got married) into a bag gift my sister had for a 90 year old lady at our church! She got the biggest kick out of it & never did give them back :)

Good memories :) Hope you have a wonderful week with your girls! :)

Looks like I'm not alone in saying...EEEEK! I recently watched a show about mice and I'm afraid your fears are probably accurate...they are almost always accompanied by friends.

Take heart, when we found a mouse in our pantry everyone told us that they always had a family. Well ours didn't, I think he must have been the only gay mouse in the neighborhood!

Your little mice in their cute house are a well fed bunch. They do tend to get around in bunches..I hope the real ones have taken themselves off somewhere else for winter! It's warming up over here so I think ours are munching on grass seeds again and not after our crumbs.

Ooh your little mice and their mouse house are adorable Molly...I have to confess though...knowing some could be running around in your house is a slightly different matter...maybe he has no friends...you will see him in a different light then...poor little mouse!

Yes, the little fury friends do keep us on our toes! I walked into my shed the other day and a little slithery friend was paying me a visit! Now, I am afraid to go in there! I guess I knew it was bound to happen since it is tucked in the woods, close to the water. ARG. Thank goodness for traps and husbands! Christie

Did you make the cute little mousies and the darling little house?
Sorry you have a real mouse, not a fun thing to deal with. Fall can be a tricky time of year, as the little critters try to find warm places to live. Hope you don't have any more. (Do you have a cat?)
