blue skies

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

~WilliamWordsworth 1888

With the boat, we've been spending lots of time on the lake. Watching the birds, letting the girls swim, having picnics, and yes, admiring the clouds.

Spotted what looked like a 'heart' in the clouds last Sunday. It made me think about this coming Sunday, the eleventh of September. Can you believe it's been ten years?

We had dear friends living in Manhattan at the time of 9/11. It was gut-wrenching sharing in their very real pain. My heart is still heavy for the families of 9/11.

beautiful images and i don't know if i can believe that it's been 10 years.

my oldest was weeks from turning one and we had pbs kids on tv with no 'special alert' broadcast so i was completely unaware until my husband called from work to tell me.

time flies ...

Glad you are still able to enjoy this last leg of summer out on the lake.
Sunday will be a difficult day for everyone. I'll be thinking of those who lost loved ones and coworkers. Of those who were in the area and saw everything fall. Of those who put personal safety aside and went in to help.

I clearly remember the day. It was the afternoon here over in the UK, and I sat glued to the TV in disbelief. I have been watching the documentaries all this week here and it is heartbreaking.
