Hello, my friends.
We're back from Colorado. We had a wonderful time in the Rocky Mountains. The weather was perfect and we had lots of fun adventures along the 2,500 miles. Mary Kate celebrated her thirteenth birthday. I even had time to check out a few antique stores. Have you ever shopped for antiques in Iowa, Nebraska, or Colorado?

You might want to think about it. The pickings were plentiful and unbelievably reasonable.
I believe I might have mentioned my love for vintage linens, especially in blue, red and green? If only I had more room.
But, the pièce de résistance was the vintage doll crib and highchair with sweet decals in the perfect shade of blue. I don't know how often I've looked up Amsco (the manufacturer) on ebay over the years, but shipping was always prohibitive.
These two were found at separate stores along the way. I think they were meant to be together. Thank heavens, my patient husband went along with my crazy plan. He had to take everything out of our vehicle and rearrange it, to make it work. He did it happily, and in the rain, no less.
I couldn't pass up a vintage Nippon doll plate. Not when it's banded in the palest pink with two of the sweetest little bluebirds on it...
Found a set of vintage 1950's dishes, something about the tulips and the color-way spoke to me. Maybe for the playhouse?
Spotted lots of vintage enamelware. Unfortunately, most was in pretty bad shape. But, I found a ginormous roaster, a baking pan, a sweet little pot, and a covered rectangular container. Just the thing for a Fourth of July party.
It's so good to be home. I'm looking forward to catching up with all of you this weekend.
I'm joining the fun at the following:

I'll say you hit the jackpot! You had me at the vintage tablecloths... :-)
Wow! Worth the trip in itself. You relly found some beautiful things. I love it all:>)
Oh my goodness. I'm nearly in tears over your score! I NEVER find those linens in good shape! The one's I'm lucky enough to own are hand me downs. I love them more than I can say. And the crib and highchair?! Tears I tell ya. Oh but wait, there's more - the metal pans!!!! The tulip plates!!!! Can I come play at your house? :o) I'm 'pinning' them just so I can look at them anytime I want. Seriously.
It is a complete understatement to say you scored!! I LOVE EVERTHING - the roaster, baking pan and such are in perfect condition! But- the linens - swoon!!
Happy belated to your sweetie!

The linens are lovely, and the vintage doll furniture is so cute and such a fun colour.
might want to think about it? It hadn't crossed my mind (a little too far even for my retail adventures!) but my goodness it looks so good!
I was just thinking what a shame it was you didn't have the room for the crib/chair when I realised I'd misread and, yes indeed, it was duly loaded into the car! Love a patient husband...

So happy I stopped in! Your blog is like a breath of fresh air!
Loving your finds...especially those plates! Off to take a peek inside your playhouse!
Yes, several times in Nebraska. Walnut Iowa is next on my list. Sadly, trips to Colorado never included time for antique/vintage shopping.
I love the green and blue linens you found! And the bluebird plate! And that little blue doll bed is so cute! (I saw two at a little shop here near me last weekend. Both so cute. But I already have the little dolly bed that belonged to my daughter when she was little... I have no space for another one.)
what darling treasures you found...i love all of it.....
happy to stop by today for a visit, my friend
always enjoy my time here with you....

Yummy colored vintage linens. Lucky woman to have scored these beauties.
It's me again. Stop by by blog when you have time. I'm having a giveaway.
Welcome back, Molly! So nice to hear you had a good time & happy birthday to miss MK!
LOVE the enamel ware. I agree...one of my favorite things to do when out of town is to hit up the local antique haunts. You found some great things!
Sooo charming!! I have a little collection of doll furniture too- your pieces are so charming!! Huge Score!! Thanks for sharing at FNF!
What a fine haul! I particularly love the enamel - the red edging is a nice change from the more usual blue on enamelware.

I'm just dyin' over those dishes with tulips! Is there a name on the bottom? I wish I could find some, too.
Several years ago I got a doll crib like yours (mine has a different animal) on eBay and it definitely was a bidding war...I stopped looking & my husband actually got it for me (I didn't want to hear the cost)...they are just too sweet 'tho.
I think you went to vintage heaven! Thanks for the glimps.
I love those linens and dishes!!!
Those colors always make me happy.
xoxo Bunny Jean
I love your blog and all the beautiful things you post. Always makes me smile :-) These are beautiful finds! We recently found a Dollie-E crib at a local flea market & I bought it for $13. We had it powered coated with same baby blue paint color & added vintage decals. I can't believe the wonderful condition of both your crib & highchair. My daughter loves her crib for her babies. Now I need to find that highchair....
