time it

Time is the longest distance between two places.
~Tennessee Williams

A year or two ago we upgraded our stove.

A commercial-quality one with convection, as well as conviction.
No one mentioned the fact, that it was timer-less.
To the timer aisle, I went.

I had high hopes for Ms. Martha Stewart (above, left).
Accuracy in regards to time, is apparently not among her virtues.

Next up, Mr. Michael Graves (above, right).
All style, and no substance.

All problematic, especially when baking the proverbial cake.
Stopped in at Anthropologie, and found this sweet little magnetic timer.
 I'm hoping, this time...
I'm lucky,
 and my timer actually times.
Speaking of lucky, have you entered yet?

A stove without a timer? I guess those professional cooks just know how long it's been, don't they? These are cute. I just picked up on at Ikea. I use it mostly for my kids and their schoolwork though, so I don't know how accurate it is :-)
Love the colors in that Anthro one!
Blessings,
Marcia

I love my Anthro timer for looks but I'm not even certain how well it works...I'll have to ask my husband b/c I think he's the only one that has used it. I just noticed that Pier 1 is carrying a smiliar one.

Aren't those the cutest little timers! You know, I never have figured out how to use my stove timer. You'd think I'd at least try in six years. But I use the old-fashioned windup version that tick-ticks along. Good enough for me. I think my husband has probably purchased a fancier version that's around here someplace. But I'm pretty stuck in my ways!

NO timer? Hmmm...very interesting... Did Julia use a timer? hmmm?

I think your new timer is adorable though!! And the other ones look pretty cute too. I have a Kitchen Aid timer that came with my Mixer...haven't needed to use it for anything yet. If I would have known you needed one, I could have sent you that one...:)
