rain, rain

A wind has blown the rain away
 and blown the sky away
and all the leaves away,
and the trees stand.
I think, I too, have known autumn too long.
e.e. cummings

We're in the middle of some severe weather,  a Great Lakes Cyclone,  to be exact. While the wind is blowing outside at speeds supposedly up to 60 m.p.h., I've been putting together a homemade soup and fresh bread.
Can't wait for all of my girls to arrive home from school. Let's hope the power goes out, at least for a little while.

We had the power got out last week for a few hours last week...still not sure what the reason, because it wasn't the weather.

However, the last couple days we have been having quite the similar weather. It is really rainy and windy here too.

The cats are snuggled by the fire waiting for the girls. Ashlyn

What a powerful wind today! All over the Mid West. I'd rather have the power stay on, but love the notion of it going out for just a couple of hours spending time with my littles... who are grown now. Enjoy.

Stay warm and safe, cozy up with your sweet family. Our lights went out early this morning for a little while (no clue as to why), as I was helping to get the grand kids ready for school. When I went to go fetch the battery powered lanterns ...ta da...lights back on! Had to adjust most of the digital clocks in the house afterwards. It is becoming so dark in the morning!!! :) Fall is here!!!

Oh my darling, those are the "happiest" boots around. How does one stay inside, when those puppies are sitting at the front door, just waiting to go "puddle jumping"?...it must be the aroma of yummy soup in the air. Get the candles out...just in case...xoxo...love Rosie

ohmygosh, can i please come over for soup? this weather is always so scary. we had a tornado hit 45 miles away over the weekend. hope y'all are safe & sound and got to have a little candlelight and flashlight fun.

on another note, i wish i knew how to play music on my blog like you have. the soul sister song you have playing is my mom's fav! i've tried investigating but am not very savvy at this sort of thing.

warmly,
tiffany
