a pretty peek

Here's a little peek into a vintage cabinet in my living room.

I collect quite a few things (understatement of the year).

I kind of have a thing for vintage posies.

Mixed with gardening books.

(Clutter doesn't bother me, if it's behind glass.)

The posies are made by Coalport, Royal Adderley,

Denton, Aynsley, among others.

Many of them aren't perfect, which is part of their charm.

Some are place card holders. Some are brooches. Some are earrings.

But, most are just posies.

Each one is a work of art. No two are exactly alike.

I'm really in love with the tiny ones.

During the long winters, I love fresh flowers in the house.

But these, I don't have to throw away.

See, I can rationalize anything.
